Step 1: Check & Charge
First off you want to check and see how much charge your IQOS Duo Charger has, or if it has any charge at all. To do this locate the Charger button on the top corner of the Duo Charger. Press and hold the button for 4 seconds. You should see the elongated status light next to the button cycle up, showing how much charge your IQOS Duo Charger has. If you don’t see any lights then that means that you have to charge your kit before you can use it.
To charge your kit use the Type C USB charger and power adaptor provided. The IQOS Pocket Charger will take approximately 2 hours to charge fully. This will provide you with on average 20 sessions or 1 full pack of HEETS.

Now for the Holder (the bit you actually use together with your HEETS). Simply push down on the bottom of the side panel of the Charger and slot your Holder in to charge.

Next to the Charger status light are two dot lights indicating how much charge your IQOS DUO Holder has.
Press and release the Charger button to check this.

1 light indicates 1 use and 2 lights indicates 2 uses. As with the charger, if you don’t see any lights then you’ll have to wait for the holder to charge.
The IQOS DUO Holder will take 5 min 15 seconds to fully charge and deliver its two consecutive uses (max.). If you’re in a hurry, you can get one use in under 2 minutes of charge.
Step 2: Insert HEETS
So you’re fully charged up, now for the fun bit. Take your Holder out of the Charger. Grab a HEETS stick out of your pack and gently press the tobacco side into the Holder up to the line of the filter.

Next you need to start the heating process. Press the Holder button and you should feel the Holder vibrate once and a white light on the indicator button pulse with either 1 or 2 lights depending on the charge.

Your holder will now begin heating the tobacco in the HEETS stick. When it is ready the Holder will vibrate twice, you are now ready to go and can begin puffing on the Filter tip of the HEET as you would a normal cigarette.
Like a cigarette, once it’s lit, it’s lit and each HEETS stick is designed to last up to 6 minutes or 14 puffs, which is roughly the duration of smoking a cigarette. The way you puff will impact how long the HEETS stick lasts.
Once you are finished you can simply slide the Holder cap upwards, pull the HEETS stick out of your device and dispose of it responsibly.

Step 3: Cleaning Your IQOS Device
Even though the tobacco in HEETS tobacco sticks doesn't burn, tobacco residue may accumulate inside of the IQOS Holder when used. With quick, regular TLC you can ensure that your device runs smoothly. IQOS does recommend that you clean your Holder after every pack of HEETS (20 tobacco sticks) and supplied with your IQOS is a specially designed multi-function cleaning brush and a pack of cleaning sticks.
Here’s how to use them:
Cool it
The first important step is to let the device cool down, about 30 seconds should do it.
Tap it
Remove the cap from your Holder and tap out any loose tobacco from inside.

Brush it
Next you’ll be using the Dual Cleaning Tool to clean any residue from the heating element inside the Holder.
Take the cap off and insert the Rotating Head Cleaner of the Dual Cleaning Tool into the holder and rotate gently for a few seconds.

Take the cap off the other end and insert the Sweeping Head of the Dual Cleaning Tool into the Holder and gently move it sideways from left to right.

Wipe it
Finally insert the Cleaning Stick to wipe any residue you can see on the inside of the Holder. Make sure not to touch the heating element with the Cleaning Stick
